Shura Lipovsky performs worldwide in interested concert halls in cities such as Amsterdam, Paris, London, New York, Montreal, Zurich and Berlin. As a storyteller and Magid (Jewish spiritual teacher), Shura Lipovsky gives theatre performances and meditative singing workshops rooted in Jewish mysticism.
Since 2005, she has been the director of The Golden Peacock, the Jewish Music Institute’s Summer Song School at SOAS. In Paris, she directs the choir at the Maison de la Culture Yiddish. In December 2017, Shura Lipovsky received the Adrienne Cooper “Dreaming in Yiddish” Award in New York for her newly written Yiddish songs and her work as an ambassador of Yiddish culture.
