Eva van de Poll – cello

Already during her studies at the Conservatory in Amsterdam, Eva was attracted to world music and contemporary music.

She started playing in the Escher Ensemble and toured with jazz flutist Chris Hinze. Since then she has focused on contemporary and world music with her ensembles Pavadita Tango Stringquartet, trio To be Sung and the Haytham Safia ensemble with U’d player Safia. Collaborations with other art forms are also Eva’s love and she has participated in theatre, musical theatre, dance and film productions. She played with a.o. theatre group Plezant, The Lau and the Scene, Carel Kraayenhof and the Max Tak Film Orchestra.

Eva studied violoncello at the conservatories of Amsterdam and Zwolle with Dmitri Ferschtman, Michel Dispa and Ran Varon. She is cello teacher at the music school Fluxus in Zaandam.
